I have over 35-years of experience in managerial programme roles across multiple sectors, with international experience in business transformation programs.

Success in platform transitions crucially requires strong alignment between IT and Business Stakeholders, identifying and mitigating risks through early identification and mitigation. I spearheaded a complex change of three legacy ERP platforms to a single modernized platform, using incremental modernization. The lesson learnt would benefit this initiative.

I have run my own consulting business (GL Consulting Pty Ltd) for over fifteen years. Complex projects of this nature require good governance, frequent communication, and key stakeholder involvement for quick, decisive decision-making to avoid delays. Real-time access to data, project progress dashboards and centralized document management are all critical components to getting this right.

As a technology consultant for over 35 years, "making order out of chaos" is why organizations have contracted with me. Through leveraging the skills and experience gained on Media, Telecoms, Banking, Automotive, NGO and Cross-Sector Business Transformation projects, I apply solutions for what works best for the culture and structure of an organization.

I have worked with deep technical domain experts, through to Exco, Board-Level and strategic partners to articulate the 'end goal" and then break it down into people, processes and technologies influences on a project's outcome. With global experience in South Africa, Africa, the USA, the Middle East, the UK, and Europe, I understand international projects' cultural issues.

As acting CIO on two long-term projects, I have worked across multiple platforms like Microsoft, Progress 4GL, SaaS platforms, Siemens, Oracle, Data Analysis and visualization tools like PowerBI.
