Volunteer - Caia Park Partnership

I have been volunteering with the Mind Mental Health charity at the Caia Park Partnership where some of my tasks include greeting clients, making them refreshments and had a conversation with new clients about mental health and what the group involves. During my time with Mind I have been numerous trips where I have assisted members of staff and also have led groups during the trips. I have also previously been part of the Caia Park steering group where we discussed issues that are going on in the Caia Park area and if there is any way we can resolve.
I am also part of a Men's group where we have supported the local community to complete gardening projects for example a memorial garden and have also rebuilt fences, painting and fixing damage that has been caused to the area.

I was responsible for loading parcels into the vans ready to be distributed. I had to sort them into postcode groups for deliveries to be done in the correct order. The ability to work as a team player and work at speed was essential for this role to ensure that all vans were loaded correctly and deliveries were made on time.

During my time at Volvo my role was to valet all cars before they were sold to customers. Having pride in my work was essential along with an understanding of cleaning products which could be harmful to either myself or the vehicle.

My main duty was to ensure that all the parts were available for production to make the panels then I would wrap them ready for distribution. I was also responsible for all incoming and outgoing goods, signing for them, ensuring the quantities were correct and completing all the necessary paperwork.

I was employed in the warehouse where my role was to ensure that items of clothing were picked and despatched. All paperwork had to be correct and accurate to ensure that stock levels were maintained.

My duties included stacking shelves and ensuring that perishable goods were in date and if not marked down and placed in the reduced isle. I enjoyed the interaction with customers and assisting them with their queries.
