I gained a license to work in security in November 2022 as I was keen to help members of the public and maintain safety. When I first gained the badge, I worked at a local Wetherspoons. Shortly after starting, I was noticed for my hard work and was offered work in a busy nightclub.
My main responsibilities for these roles was to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and welcome them with a smile due to being the first point of contact and start of their experience in our venues. From this field of work, I have learnt appropriate ways of communication, being able to work well under pressure and have quick thinking under challenging situations.
Recycling Operative - J & B (Agency)

My main responsibilities at this role were to load and unload recycling collection vehicles, and use different types of lifting machinery to organize waste. During my time here, I became a vital member of the team and was given the responsibility to train new staff in the operation of the site ensuring they were supervised whilst using the machinery and able to complete the task to the correct standard ensuring everyone was working as a team and remained organized.
Sports Coach - Territorial Army Reserve Centre

From progressing in the TA, I became a sports coach which entailed creating training sessions for a group ranging from fifteen to twenty people. I would have this responsibility of ensuring people are gaming a high benefit from their sessions and focusing on the main areas which i organized and scheduled on the daily timetable. This role gave me the confidence to be able to lead a group and train others and speak about personal growth.
I worked closely with the managers and assisted in organizing fundraising days and activities.

Initially I started training to be a British Soldier, which entailed a lot of training, hard work and dedication to meet deadlines and remain in a high level of fitness.

After leaving college, I gained a bricklaying apprenticeship which assisted in me in gaining my bricklaying qualification. During this time, I built up confidence in speaking with members of the public and meeting customer needs and satisfactions.
Bouncy Castle Delivery Assistant - Family run business
During my gaps of employment especially during COVID, I would assist in a family run business which was delivering bouncy castles. This allowed me to maintain my people skills as I was ensuring I delivered and re-collected these in a polite manner and hearing customers' feedback.
