It has always been my ambition to fully pursue my nursing career and strive to make choices within health and social care that make life better for those we care for, in providing good quality care, which is well planned, implemented, monitored and reviewed ensuring service users are treated with the up most respect dignity and affording them the choices they truly deserve.
20 years post qualification I can honestly say, I have always worked hard to develop good working relationships with service users and multi agency professionals at all levels within Health and social care.
I have found this to be vital in building the right foundations from the start which in tern amounts to clear and concise communication throughout all areas of work.
Peer support and empowering colleagues to progress their own ambitions is paramount and ensuring that we have an open minded approach to the way we deliver care. Not being afraid to “Think outside the box” and just continue to do something just because it has always been done that way. I am always keen to explore alternatives to deliver good quality care in a cost-effective way.
I am a “people person” specialising in Continuing Healthcare, being able to work independent as well as part of a bigger team, working and ensuring quality assessments are produced within a timely manner to achieve compliance.
