I’m a highly motivated individual who can work well in a team environment as well as independently. Strong numerical and analytical skills and a good level of knowledge of Microsoft excelbeing able to use both pivot tables and v-lookup. Strong interest in accounting and looking for a trainee position with the plans of becoming fully AAT qualified and then progressing onto ACCA.

Assistant Accountant AJS Accountants

September 2023 – Current

I’ve been working as an assistant accountant for the last six months mainly dealing with SME businesses, some of my skills and responsibilities I have developed over this period are;

• Training in software such as Xero, QuickBooks and TaxCalc
• Preparation of VAT returns ready for submittal
• Payroll using Bright Pay
• Preparation of year end accounts and corporation tax including working papers
• Bookkeeping and bank reconciliation
• Monthly management accounts
• Some experience in completing SA100s
• Use of prepayments and accruals

2019-2021 GCSEs

9 GCSEs including 3 grade 9’s and 2 grade 8’s with a grade 9 in mathematics and a grade 7 in english language.

2021-2023 A-Levels

Have recently completed my A-levels where I studied mathematics, chemistry and media studies and have received a C in maths.

2023-2024 AAT Level 3

Currently studying AAT Level 3 via an apprenticeship, having passed my first two exams Tax Processes for Businesses and Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements achieving 90% and 84%. With my last two exams being scheduled for June and July before being fully qualified.
