George Leal

Experienced EFL Tutor with 3 years experience teaching English abroad in China and Indonesia and 3 years tutoring children in English and Maths in the UK. I have an active and engaging teaching style that focuses on creating a fun and safe environment for my students. Very passionate about teaching and using education theory in the classroom to create new and interesting teaching experiences. I can adapt easily to new environments and am confident communicating my student's progress to parents.

Tutored English in UK for 3 years, China for 1 year and Indonesia for 1 year in after school tutoring centres. Taught children aged 3-18 in groups of 10-15 with a focus on conversational English and occasionally helping students with exam preparation. Also I worked with a Chinese family as an au pair to their young child to assist with his English, giving me a unique insight into Chinese culture and helped me become more adaptable.

Studied English and Education for 3 years at Oxford Brookes University where I learnt how to express myself confidently in both writing and presentations. This combined with my work experience as a teacher set me up very well to teach english as a foreign language.
