This role was created with individuals from communities who could benefit from assistance and support in accessing Health Services in mind.

Responsibilities include

• Building supportive and respectful relationships with individuals and community groups.
• Supporting and educating communities on topics using knowledge gained from ongoing training, taking the human-rights approach.
• Providing information and promoting specific NHSGGC health services.
• Discussing the impact of, and providing assistance to mitigate poverty and maximise income.
• Gathering feedback which will be used to improve services.
• Contributing to the development of the peer worker programme and role within NHSGGC.
