Vet Eye Care is an ophthalmology referral clinic; my role comprises much the same tasks and responsibilities as my previous position. However, I have further advanced my knowledge and competence with anaesthesia. I have gained experience using mechanical ventilation, various new drug protocols to support my patients through their procedure, use of advanced monitoring equipment including the use and monitoring of neuro-muscular blockades.

I follow my patients' case from admit to discharge and often conduct post operative check ins with clients. I am responsible for carrying out applications of topical, oral and injectable medications and calculating correct dosages per the veterinary ophthalmologists prescription

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Companion Care Peterborough

I started at Companion Care as a student on my block placements. I was then employed as a Student Veterinary Nurse and started working weekend shifts while I studied. Upon completion of my degree and registration with the RCVS I was offered a full time position. I have learnt a lot from the team and have taken on several responsibilities throughout my time at the practice.

• Providing support to the Veterinary Surgeons
• Patient care such as monitoring anaesthetics and caring for hospitalised patients including monitoring their condition and carrying out treatment and applying medications as directed by the VS
