Georgiana Hobbs

My name is Georgiana Hobbs (preferred name Georgie), I am currently 16 years old (D.O.B 17/02/2008). I am currently working in a chip shop serving behind the counter greeting and meeting customers, working behind the till. I am looking to get a more permanent position with better hours.

I have been working at the chip shop for just over a year. I can fully work flexible hours weekdays and weekends. My interests are being out with friends and being out and about meeting new people. I have many skills that I have gained from working in the chip shop such as great team work, customer service and communication skills, handling cash and card transactions etc.

From what I have noticed from working in the chip shop is I have gained a lot of confidence when talking to new people.

During my time in high school, I did a week of work experience at a nursery in Wolstanton, during my time there I helped with feeding time, helped to tidy up and even spoke with some of the parents. I am obviously currently working in a chip shop where I have worked since 18th August 2023. For the past couple of years I have worked with my dad doing painting and decorating as he is self employe and I have worked with him many of times.

I have just completed high school and as of last week got my GCSE results where I passed everything apart from 2 but I passed all of the relevant exams. I was at Chesterton Community Sports College From September 2019 - June 2024.
