After a successful self-employed career, I took a family focused career break. On returning to work I decided to make a career change, initially working as a TA in a secondary school. This developed into working as the emotional regulation co ordinator and, following training as a counsellor for SEND students.
I work from a person centred and integrative approach often adapting to suit different environments and situations. I keep up with relevant CPD and have regular private supervision to help in my ethical working practice and personal progression. As part of this, I am currently working towards an advanced level 5 counselling diploma in complex mental health and trauma.
I have a passion for working on the emotional regulation with young people, my counselling skills enable a empathic and sympathetic approach which helps young people understand themselves and their emotions more confidently.
