I have been a foster carer for 16years. I have always worked with children in nurseries and schools. I have recently started working at a hospice and absolutely love working with adults. I enjoy caring and supporting people to remain independent and to get the most out of their lives. I enjoy fitness classes and tai chi. I read novels and enjoy walking my dog.
I am a qualified nursery nurse and have worked with children in nurseries, schools and family centres. I worked with a social inclusion project in schools to support children who struggle to remain in education. My role developed into working with families as a family support worker.
I began fostering teenagers with challenging behaviours and during this time worked at the airport helping elderly and disabled people on to and off flights. I also became a hospice at home volunteer. I now work at a hospice supporting terminally ill people with personal care, medicine management and well-being for patients and their family.
