Being born to a physicist father and an engineering mother, mathematics has always been a big part of my life having studied it all the way to masters level. During my time in boarding school, I found a genuine passion for teaching when I initiated and led after-school workshops where students of all ages sought my assistance with their maths problems. Guiding them through these challenges and witnessing their understanding grow ignited my interest in education.
For me there is no greater feeling than sharing my passion for maths with others and helping students overcome challenges they initially thought impossible. In my teaching approach, I take immense pleasure in not only guiding students through the process of applying methods to solve problems but also in fostering a deep understanding of these methods and instilling effective problem-solving approaches that can help them with challenges they may face later in their academic careers.
Little Mario’s Pizzeria, Hong Kong – I worked here for 3 months over summer as a waiter, an assistant chef and making deliveries depending on what was needed that day.
