I have been employed in the motor industry more than 25 years. During this time, I have worked on the shop floor as a fully qualified MET fitter. I moved into the VDA arena when I was offered this position with Perrys group in 2005.
I am a diligent VDA who seeks to ensure that all repairs are carried out using manufacturers methodology. I also seek to ensure that all reasonable costs are included as per any repair matrix employed by work providers and ensuring there is minimum leakage on the assessments. I am also fully qualified an AQP.
Throughout my career I have had extensive experience in the repair process of a vehicle and fully comprehend what is required to ensure repairs are correctly undertaken.

VDA / AQP at Hertz UK BodyDamage Team (2016 – 2021)
As a part of the team, I have attained the qualification of AQP which enables Hertz to accurately categorise salvage vehicles, without using external suppliers to do so. The team was previously viewed as a poorly performing cost burden with little value-add to the business. As a team we reduced the K2K times significantly and engineered each case in a fair and transparent manner.
This resulted in a cost saving of £400,000 by way of adopting a repair over replace behaviour. I have undertaken various courses throughout my career which have been highly beneficial to the smooth operation of body damage repairs.
Senior ATA VDA at ONTO Holdings Ltd (2021 – 2023)
Set up the engineered file to account for all spend relating to Insurance cases. Monitored all incoming FNOL notifications and set up cases in Zendesk. Additionally, I create payment packs for non-fault claims, working closely with our claims department.
Compiled all total loss cases and engaged with Synetiq to achieve best possible salvage sale prices. Senior ATA VDA who reviewed every case presented and communicated with repairers, issuing authority notes, and reviewing any supplementary estimates. Tracked all costs and savings with a PO tracking system.
MET technician / VDA at Perrys of Aylesbury (2005 – 2015)
Employed as an MET technician and offered the role of VDA. From this role I developed my skill set, using my mechanical and electrical background to assist in the creation of accurate assessments.
Senior ATA VDA at MotoFix High Wycombe (2015 – 2016)
Employed as a Senior ATA VDA compiling insurance estimates and communicating with insurance engineers.
VDA at Vision Network (2016-02 – 2016-09)
Carried out desktop inspections and analysing any leakage in the assessments provided.
Studed motor mechanics at Aylesbury college. ATA VDA Qualified. AQP has just expired
