My name is Mrs. Grace B. Abella, born and raised in the Philippines, 27 young. I am a compassionate, resilient, and lifelong learner who values family, personal growth, and excellence in everything I do. As a Registered Nurse by profession, I developed a strong foundation in critical thinking, empathy, and patient-centered care. My nursing background has shaped my ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems effectively, and approach challenges with both professionalism and compassion.

Currently, I am a full-time mother, a role that has strengthened my adaptability, patience, time management, and resilience. Motherhood has taught me the importance of selflessness, perseverance, and balancing multiple responsibilities while ensuring the well-being of those who depend on me.

I am naturally curious and enjoy researching, learning, and making informed decisions. I also have a creative side and appreciate photography, fashion, skincare, and digital content creation, which allow me to express myself beyond my professional and personal responsibilities.

I am a Registered Nurse with professional experience in the Emergency Room at Polymedic Medical Plaza, located at Kauswagan National Highway, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, Philippines, where I progressed from trainee to probationary nurse and ultimately to a regular staff nurse. To be precise, January 26, 2023 to April 30, 2023 entered as a trainee with an assigned preceptor, then on May 1, 2023 to October 31, 2023 I was promoted to probationary, next on November 1, 2023 I became a regular employee but unfortunately resigned on October 15, 2024 due to high risk pregnancy.

But while working in a fast-paced emergency setting, I developed strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions. My responsibilities included patient triage, comprehensive assessment, vital signs monitoring, history taking, intravenous cannulation, medication administration, implementation of physicians' orders, and continuous patient monitoring.

In addition to direct patient care, I assisted in minor surgical procedures, maintained aseptic technique and infection control standards, prepared and sterilized surgical instruments, and ensured emergency equipment and medications were readily available. I actively participated in emergency response and Code Blue situations by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), assisting with airway management and bag-valve-mask ventilation, preparing intubation equipment, emergency medications, and inotropic infusions. I also provided maternal assessments by monitoring fetal heart tones, fundal height, and uterine contractions when caring for pregnant patients in the emergency department.

Throughout my role, I remained committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating effectively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team in a demanding, high-acuity environment.
