Grace Wright

Hi, I’m Grace! As a recent Data Engineering graduate, I am currently in search of opportunities to work in Data Science/Engineering. I possess a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving. Before taking on the world of tech, I completed an undergraduate degree in Anthropology. Throughout my time at university, we explored human past, present, and future. Bit by bit, I developed an observant interest as to where we have to go for the future as a collective, and believe that data and AI are the way forward.

In reference to professional experience, my education with AiCore has allowed for me to apply industry-based skills to real-world scenarios through hands-on experience and project-based learning. Across my extensive set of skills, I have deeply enjoyed designing ETL pipelines and optimising data processing workflows, and hope to carry this work out further in future roles. I have experience working in diverse, collaborative environments, and I excel at effective communication. With everything I've learned, I'm excited to industriously contribute to shaping data-driven strategies that drive business growth and explore innovative solutions.

My undergraduate experience in Anthropology focused on human past, present, and future. Taking this into account, I knew that I wanted to seek out a transition into a tech-based role and undertook a Data Engineering pathway with AiCore. I leveraged my prior proficiency in quantitative/qualitative research and analysis tools to enhance appropriate expertise and apply industry-based skills to real-world scenarios through hands-on experience and project-based learning. As a result of my participation, I have had firsthand experience with industry-related technologies such as: AWS (IAM, MSK, MWAA, EC2, RDS, Kinesis), PostgreSQL, PgAdmin4, Apache (Spark and Kafka), and Databricks. I have also received proficient training in Python and SQL.
