I am a passionate and hard-working artist who adores painting in oil but am equally comfortable with digital art. I am also adept in using and incorporating mixed media skills including stitching, printmaking, etching and lino printing. My work is visually strong because I use vibrant colours and loose, kinetic brush work to capture an essence of a moment, a mood, a narrative, that can draw in an audience to take their time to pinpoint their personal interpretation.
My inspirations are drawn from classic and modern literature, Greek mythology, history and portraits through the lens of my love of Pre-Raphaelite and Impressionism art, life and regeneration, despair and hope, celebrating women's femininity, strength, beauty and elegance over the centuries.
