I am a hard-working individual with a variety of skills looking for a full-time job. I have graduated from Birmingham City University with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science degree. Throughout the course I gained an immense amount of knowledge as well as key skills required in many jobs, One of the most important skills I have attained is the ability to work under pressure and this was achieved through the completion of multiple assignments within a short time frame, this amount of work forced me to work under pressure and build a calm mentality regardless of the stressful situation, the ability to keep a level head allows me to think and make better judgments.
To finalize the course, I had to complete a research project of my choosing, I chose to study the effects of pathogens on the oak tree microbiome, throughout the project I gained a host of lab skills as well as experience with PCR testing, growing cultures and extracting and purifying DNA. Some days I would spend 12+ hours within the lab which means I am no stranger to long working hours. Always ready to attain more knowledge and skills.
I will be learning alongside working with the goal of achieving a master's degree in microbiology and infections at the University of Birmingham.
Working at a retail store, I have attained 6 years of customer service and 4 years of management skills. Working in a retail store has exposed me to a plethora of individuals with unique personalities and different levels of understanding. Being part of management, I was exposed to constant heavy loads of work in which I had to manage a team of people as well as check stock levels and order the required amount.
Data entry played a part in my role at the business in which invoices, revenue and general data had to be recorded in excel.
