Being a teacher is a great honour and the ability to make a positive impact on an individual’s life is my motivating force. The fulfilment felt when imparting knowledge to a class cannot equate to other roles. This further enhances my drive to teach. Furthermore, receiving fantastic feedback during my teaching experiences reaffirmed that this is the perfect long-term career for me.
I am an independent and resourceful teacher with a lot of teaching experience. I develop necessary resources from scratch for lessons, which means that I already possess a varied range of material for Sociology. My MA in Religion, Culture and Society is equipping me further, to teach analysis on Society using creative and dynamic methods.
I am friendly and approachable which allows me to effectively build rapport with students whilst upholding professionalism. I am a native speaker of English and Bengali. I am conversationally proficient in Hindi, Urdu and Gujarati. I wholeheartedly believe that given the chance, I would endeavour to make a positive contribution to society through teaching at your institution.
I have been appointed as an Associate Lecturer by the University that I have embarked to do an MA on. Alongside this I have been tutoring Sociology to A level students online. I also have many years worth of experience teaching Sociology at A level as well as Access course Sociology, alongside having studied the subject for BA.
This shows that I am very confident in teaching the subject. I also have previous experience as a Civil Servant, Assistant to Conveyancer and Assistant Housing Officer. This diverse experience has built the confidence to deal with complex and varied situations.
I am on the verge of completing my MA. Prior to this I have completed a Further Education PGCE in Cardiff. As mentioned before, my BA was in Sociology and I have completed A levels in Sociology, Law and English Language.
