Personally, I have always wanted to nurture people, I learnt this through my work as a Health Care Assistant/Nurse Assistant. I am interested in working with you as I feel it is the most rewarding role within all the different aspects of healthcare due to my caring and understanding nature, I would love to progress to a role in healthcare to be able to support the diversity within my community. My motivation strives from the gratitude I have for this role.
I have earned qualification within the health and social care sector. My qualification includes a NVQ2 in Health and Social care, as well as, basic first aid training, basic life support, manual handling as well as food hygiene. I have also a level 2 certificate in the principles of the prevention and control of infection in healthcare settings.
I gained my qualifications through my experience of working in Nursing Homes, Care Homes, Hospitals, and Home Care, this elevated my interests within the Healthcare field. Due to all my training and qualifications, I feel like this has provided me with a strong structure which enables me to progress further into my education.
Throughout my time working as a Nurse Assistant, I had to utilise a range of skills such as travelling to client’s homes and helping them to live as independent a life as possible showed me that everyone is an individual and while an attention to detail and operational accuracy is important, a respect for this fact is paramount. In the NHS in my current job role, I work with people of all ages with a variety of conditions. I discovered my ability to provide care and reassurance to patients especially the vulnerable; from this point on I knew that a career in health care was for me.
Many of the patients would be understandably distressed and I found that my ability to stay calm and talk to them as individuals allowed me to play a valuable role in their treatment. My job can be challenging at times; however, I thrive of this as I enjoy learning on the job. I have been able to gain valuable experiences in my role whilst my passion for the job continues to grow.
As I have developed great communication skills, I enjoy taking time to listen to my patients and understanding their needs. It allows me to support them, to the best of my abilities. Though the job may be difficult at times, I thrive off this as I enjoy discovering new skills on the job. I gained many valuable experiences in my role.
I am wanting to learn and develop my skills within healthcare industry. I am punctual and have a ready to learn attitude. As I am a highly capable of my duties as a nurse assistant which I have shown through my experience I am looking to expand my knowledge and practical to push my career to the next steps.
