Managing a high needs residential mental health accommodation and lower needs floating support service consisting of 19 service users and managing a team of 12 staff including 2 student social workers/nurses.
- To work in partnership with senior management team and contribute to business planning, proposals and tenders.
- To retain a lead role in the management of the service by ensuring the continuing significance to service users’ needs.
- Ensuring commissioning body requirements are met by on-going planning, monitoring, and evaluating the effective service delivery.
- Achieving agreed standards of service delivery in compliance with relevant legislation, national standards, best practice contracts requirements and Hestia policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that housing and facilities management functions are carried out to a high standard in all properties and that all services comply with their operational policies and management agreements.
- Ensuring that voids and arrears are kept within budgeted levels and that referral and move-on procedures operate effectively.
- Ensuring risk assessments and health and safety audits are carried out.
- Providing effective leadership, appraisal, supervision and support to the all staff including students and bank/agency staff.
- Ensuring the recruitment and induction of new staff and ensuring that all staff receive annual appraisals and regular supervisions.
- Managing staff performance, undertaking disciplinary and grievance investigations.
- Managing the financial accountability of the services by operating within the agreed financial policies and procedures.
- Defining the relationship between service users and staff as one of mutuality and reciprocity rather than of dependency.
- Understanding of, and having the ability to implement good Equality, Equity, Inclusion & Diversity practice.
