Hannah Cox

Hi there! I'm Hannah, a 22-year-old illustrator with a passion for designing children’s book illustrations, and painting landscapes inspired by the scenic country around me. I'm a recent illustration graduate specialising in a combination of digital and mixed media techniques.

My journey as an illustrator began with a love for children's literature, and I've since dedicated myself to children's book illustration. With each mark I make, I try to capture the joy and innocence of being a kid, bringing my drawings to life with the same excitement that filled my own adventures as a child. When I'm not immersed in the world of children's illustration, you'll likely find me exploring the picturesque landscapes of Cornwall.

I like taking inspiration from Cornish scenes for my illustrations, and creating happy, vibrant paintings to brighten up peoples homes.

Throughout my degree i have taken on mini commissions to prepare myself for my freelance career after university. I focused on Invitation designs for christenings and weddings, Art decor prints and greeting cards which i sold via my Etsy page. I have experience in children's book illustration, and was commissioned by a writer to collaborate on their book. I have also taken part in a voluntary experience, “paint the town yellow”, which consisted on producing vibrant window displays in Falmouth.
