My role as a sales assistant was insightful into the retail industry. This job required me to be collaborative as myself and my colleagues could collectively work together in busy and unfamiliar situations (i.e. promotional events), as we strive to accomplish our targets set by our senior colleagues – which we successfully achieved. As well as working behind the till and processing sales made, my customer service would be practiced as I would assist customers on shopfloor and take on the responsibility for advising customers precisely for deciding which health and beauty products they should purchase.
At the till point, I would display products for point-of-purchase advertising to maximise last-minute add-on sales.

Bar Staff Member at Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. (2018-06 – 2018-09)
As this was my first job, it immediately pushed me into the deep end and led to a great increase in my confidence and improvement in my inter-personal skills. During half-time at home matches, I would work behind the bar on the stands serving both food and beverages. As the concourse gets packed with supporters, it would be difficult to often hear customers and concentrate however with time this problem eased and I was able to efficiently work and meet all customer needs.
