Shop Assistant at Schuh, Broughton Shopping Park (2025-08 – 2026-01)

I aided customers in considering and purchasing shoes, which involved:

• Trained as a child specialist - which involved measuring the feet of infants and children and ensuring they have shoes that fit them correctly
• Organising and tidying the stockroom to keep the running order correct and dead stock clear
• Using the till and handling cash appropriately
• Upselling products and encouraging customers to view items that they may want or need
• Communicating effectively with other members of staff to ensure an optimum sales environment for customers and a happy team dynamic
• Helping to clean and tidy the shop after closing, including hoovering, mopping, and wiping down surfaces
• Maintaining a positive, uplifting environment for all staff members

Support Worker at Hawarden Village Church School (2023-11 – 2025-08)

I supported the teachers and teaching assistants, which involved:

• Supervising children aged 3 years – 7 years during after school sessions
• Organising and delivering age-appropriate activities
• Organising snack time and ensuring all children were fed
• Administering basic first aid and comforting children when needed
• Communicating effectively with other members of staff to ensure child safety and wellbeing
• Maintaining a happy, nurturing environment for all children

Yard Worker at Chapelwood Farm Livery (2024-07 – 2024-07)

I worked as a Yard Worker at a busy livery, this involved:

• Being responsible for turning horses in and out of the field twice daily
• Providing basic medical care including picking out hooves and administering medication
• Grooming, feeding and cleaning stables and fields to maintain horse wellbeing

Yard Worker at Wirral Riding Centre (2022-11 – 2023-02)

I worked as a Yard Worker at a busy riding school, this involved:

• Tacking and untacking horses for riding lessons
• Helping students understand how to care for horses including how to tack up and groom a horse respectfully
• Supporting beginners during riding lessons including helping them mount the horse and holding the lead rein when necessary
• Completing stable maintenance and feeding routines under time constraints

Science Department Volunteer at Christleton High School (2021-10 – 2022-07)

I volunteered weekly within the science department this involved:

• Supporting science teachers with classroom experiments and displays
• Regularly helping during the school open evenings and events
