I’m a Chemical Engineering graduate currently working as a Research and Development Engineer, where I’ve been involved in developing and testing innovative engineering solutions. My academic background combined with hands-on R&D experience has strengthened my problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge, particularly in process development, data analysis, and continuous improvement. I’m passionate about applying engineering principles to solve real-world challenges and am now looking to build on this foundation through a graduate role that offers long-term development, collaboration, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact.
I currently work as a Research and Development Engineer, where I focus on testing, evaluating, and refining engineering processes and products. My role involves hands-on experimentation, data interpretation, and supporting product development from concept through to implementation. I’ve contributed to multiple R&D projects, improving efficiency and supporting technical decision-making through evidence-based analysis.
Alongside this, I’ve developed strong communication and collaboration skills through cross-functional teamwork. My academic background in Chemical Engineering also included lab-based research and group design projects, which gave me a solid foundation in technical problem-solving, process optimisation, and project management.
I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2023 with a BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering. The course provided a strong foundation in core engineering principles such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, reaction engineering, and process design. Throughout my studies, I worked on industry-focused projects, including a group design project that simulated real-world engineering challenges.
My final year research project allowed me to develop key skills in data analysis, experimental design, and technical reporting, all of which have proven valuable in my current R&D role.
