Medical Admin in GP Surgery

Period: April’24 – till date

Role: Medical Administrator

• Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
• Issuing medicines to the respective pharmacies
• Working in SystmOne application 
• Process appointment requests whether made in person, via telephone or email
• Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with requests appropriately
• Action all incoming faxes
• Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
• Photocopy documentation as required
• Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
• Input clinical data into the patient’s healthcare records as directed by GPs
• Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient’s healthcare records
• Process requests for information i.e., SAR, insurance / solicitors’ letters and forms requiring GP completion
• Manage all queries (including administrative queries) as necessary in an efficient manner
• Carry out system searches as requested
• Assist with Medical Secretary workload where required (typing of clinical referral letters)
• Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
• Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with staff rota
• Support in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently

• Designed Test plan, Test cases, Test summary report (TSR), System design specification (SDS), User Requirement specification (URS), and Object Evidence (OE)
