I would describe myself as a person who takes pride in my knowledge and capabilities. I continually look for ways to broaden and deepen my understanding of different subjects as I have taken. I hope to excel in all and I work towards that with my strong work ethic, perseverance, and dedication.
My capacity to communicate well is one of my traits. I am able to express myself clearly and simply and accompanied by my verbal and writing communication abilities. As it enables me to make solid connections with others and effectively communicate critical information, this ability has proven to be of immeasurable value in both my personal and professional lives.
My capacity for problem-solving is another talent I have. I'm good at deciphering challenging situations and coming up with innovative solutions. Whether it is finding ways to improve a process in my learning or progressing onto a new topic I approach challenges with a positive attitude and determination to find the best solution and methods.
In addition to my interpersonal and problem-solving skills, I am highly organised and efficient. I have developed systems and strategies to manage my time and prioritise tasks effectively, which has allowed me to meet tight deadlines and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously. Finally, I am a lifelong learner who is always seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow.
Whether it's through taking courses, attending workshops, or working on personal projects, I am always striving to expand my knowledge and skill set. One of my skills is to be able to name every country's flag which many of my friends congratulate me on in the opportunity where this skill is needed such as in geography and having to name a county on the map or a class kahoot. I also play basketball as an extracurricular activity doing so outside of school and inside of school and it's taught me that discipline is very important in progressing but as well as focus on where you want to aim and this can be applied to may daily routine.
Work Experience Placement - Watershed - 1 Canon's Rd, Bristol BS1 5TX
(2022-06 - 2022-07)
During my time at my work experience I had the opportunity in developing my oracy skills having the ability to work alongside people from a variety of background in our bristol community. A work experience placement at the Watershed would provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in arts and cultural programming, provide valuable insight into the workings of a dynamic cultural organisation and develop skills in areas such as communication, teamwork, and creative problem-solving. One of the tasks we had done was storytelling in which we first looked at examples in the rife magazine and had then created our own pieces in the form of illustration, poetry, songs, etc.
This had introduced me to a lot of creative individuals but also showed my verbal skills as I presented my short form stories.
Work Experience Placement - Mercer Marsh - The Paragon, Counterslip, Redcliffe, Bristol BS1 6BX
(2024-01 - 2024-01)
Food Production - Pieminister
I spent time working as part of a food production line and gained skills in collaborative work in handling and packing pies to create a product. From that experience I was able to coordinate effectively with the team in ensuring food quality and health and safety standards. Also at Pieminister, I took part in job rotation to balance workloads and keep operations running smoothly, sharing responsibilities across tasks to support colleagues and to prevent fatigue from just one person doing the hard tasks the whole day.
