I am keen to work with children and young people and have experience in areas such as fostering, mental health, disabilities, safeguarding, looked after childrens social work and work with unaccompanied asylum seeking children. In addition tooth's i have also worked as a Reg.44 developmental adviser for four children's homes to help with good practice and preparing for OFSTED inspection, acted as Clinical Practitioner a children and young people's mental health service, been a practice educator for forty social work students voluntary sector placements and a local authority high school governor. I am also a qualified further and higher education teacher.
Currently a Home Office Age Assessment Social Worker for the Home Office for asylum seekers.
I was Child in Care Social Worker in North Somerset, BANES, Swindon, Gloucestershire Council and carrying out statutory duties for the corporate parenting role using evidence-based practice to guide health, education assessments and care planning. Complied child permanence reports (CPRs) and reunification reports, sec. 47 safeguarding reports, C&F, child in care reports, mental health assessment reports, matching panel report for permanency etc. Also, UASC work to address compliance with Home Office regulations.
As a South Glos. Supervising Social Worker in Connected Care completed Form F assessments for potential foster carers and completed annual reviews for existing carers along with supervision and guidance of carers.

Was a Clinical Practitioner for intermediate mental health services for children and young people providing CBT style interventions for aiming to help young people develop coping skills for those just below the threshold of targeted groups that were referred to CAMHS.
Taught on social work at 2 universities. Tutor for non-traditional further education teaching for young NEETS unable to engage in mainstream education. FE colleges tutor: teaching and assessing social work, youth work, mental health and social care and child care. Work-based assessor and teacher for work-based diplomas in residential child care and early years work based assessments.
