Hayden Buckley-Smith

I am a junior frontend developer who is passionate and eager to progress with my skillset and be an asset to the ongoing success of any company. I decided on changing career into the Tech world as I like when code comes to life on websites! I am up for each and every challenge I face and I am willing to learn on every job I am assigned to. I am passionate about HTML, CSS, React and TypeScript as these are skills I wish to realise their full potential.

Whilst working at my current employer Abstack. I have done the following:

• Developing a bespoke website for an established client using Next.js, React Hooks and Tailwind, creating a custom CMS solution using Prismic, providing the team with full autonomy to regularly update their portfolio with ease.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining a custom, accessible UI component library adhering to component-driven development principles, using React, TypeScript, Tailwind and React Aria, Storybook with Jest for unit and visual testing alongside documentation.
• Regularly participate in code reviews to ensure that changes made by other developers meet the required standards and are of high quality. During reviews, I provide detailed feedback on areas that require improvement and suggest ways to enhance the code.
• Collaborate closely with the design team to review and approve all designs, resolving any inconsistencies and ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards before handoff

I enrolled onto a traineeship which has allowed me to research and learn more about frontend technologies. I do have a passion for this work so I hope what I have learned so far and what I can keep learning will be beneficial to your company.

I hold 3 A levels which were in Sport at Wilsmlow Sixth Form College

I gained 7 GCSE's graded from A*-C at The Kingsway High School.
