I am currently a senior lead engineer in pressure control and storage and have worked in this industry for the last 5 years, before my current role I was a overhead linesman for roughly 6 years and only had to make a change in career due to becoming a father. I'm passionate about proving to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to as i am a incredibly fast learner and showing my daughters that anything can be done no matter what life throws at you.
As a senior lead engineer I lead a team of engineers and technicians to carry out vital maintenence and PSSR inspections on the pressure control assets around the north west. I started at this company 5 years ago with no idea what a regulator was and within 2 and a half years I climbed to the highest role I could have on the tools, I then took on the responsibility of passing my skills and knowledge onto multiple adult trainees and apprentices.
I attended central Lancaster high school and from there headed to Lancaster and morecambe college where I completed a nvq level 3 in plumbing and heating.
I also have a nvq level 3 in electrical engineering (overhead lines) and mechanical engineering (maintenece)
