Meadowview has been my placement for my level 3 in learning and teaching. I have absolutely loved working here. I have always wanted to get into teaching and to now be a qualified teaching assistant is so brilliant and the career I want to pursue as I have wanted to for years.

I loved my placement and working with and helping with the children both educationally and pastorally. My foster training and experience has married beautifully into the classroom. As a Trainee Year 1 Teaching Assistant, I supported the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive learning environment for pupils aged 5–6.

Foster Carer at Foster Carer (2023-08 – 2026-07)

My role as a foster carer has given me a wealth of experience with trauma driven children and learning their needs. For this role you need resilience, empathy and understanding. I have had alot of training along with a natural ability to be able to "see" the child. This role has been extremely rewarding and the insight it has given me into the social care system and the privilege of being part of a child's journey to healing and managing their emotions has been amazing.

I worked for the manager helping with his duties... Opening and closing the business... Accounts, telephone enquiries... Seating and serving customers within the bar and restaurant.

I worked for the manager helping with his/her duties... Opening and closing the business... Accounts, telephone enquiries... Seating and serving customers within the bar and restaurant. I was on maternity leave from October 2010. Whilst being assistant manager I gained my Food Hygiene level 2.

During this time I became a temp and worked at various companies within accounts payable.

I worked with the Accounts payable department.

Reception/Secretary at IDI International Limited (1996-09 – 2000-12)

IDI was a manufacturing company... My duties at IDI ranged from reception, answering the telephone, opening the post and greeting customers. Helping out with the accounts department, typing up invoices and secretarial work for the managing director.

Administration at Kynoch Lewis Partnership (1992-01 – 1996-01)

I did my administration training at this company. I was the only admin with 2 partners... The work included typing letters, invoices etc. Filing, photocopying and answering the telephone. I was first port of call for clients.
