I am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience specialising in rotating and packaged equipment across the energy sector, including oil and gas, LNG, power generation, and marine engineering. I have held senior roles such as Technical Authority, Chief Mechanical Engineer, and Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer, contributing to all project phases from concept through commissioning. My experience spans compression systems, pumps, power generation and mechanical packages, with deep knowledge of international standards (API, ISO) and corporate specifications.

My career includes PMC and consultancy roles for major operators and EPC contractors worldwide, ensuring technical integrity, compliance, and performance of complex mechanical systems in both onshore and offshore environments

With over 30 years of industry experience, I have developed extensive knowledge and expertise across a broad range of mechanical equipment, with a particular focus on gas compression systems. My experience also encompasses mechanical equipment packages in diverse environments, including onshore facilities (shipyards, construction sites, refineries, power stations, pharmaceutical plants) and offshore installations (ships, rigs, FPSOs, platforms), covering both upstream and downstream operations.

My career has spanned multiple roles and levels of responsibility, including Draughtsman, Project Engineer, Instrument Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Mechanical/Package Engineer, and Rotating Equipment Engineer. I have progressed through senior positions such as Senior, Principal, Lead, Technical Authority, Consultant Engineer, Chief Engineer, and PMC Engineer, contributing across all project phases: Concept, Concept Select, FEED, and Detailed Engineering.

I possess a strong working knowledge of relevant national and international standards, codes, and practices for rotating equipment packages in the marine, pharmaceutical, oil, gas, and power generation sectors. This includes expertise in ISO and API standards (610, 613, 614, 616, 617, 618, 619, 674, 675, 692) and corporate specifications such as Aramco (SAMMS, SAES), TotalEnergies (GS), and Shell (DEP).

Leveraging my multidisciplinary background, I have a solid understanding of materials and fabrication processes, as well as the properties of gases and liquids. I am proficient in the principles and operation of a wide range of equipment and technologies, including reactors, scrubbers, gas turbines, cranes, marine loading arms, valves (control and manual), instrumentation, piping system design, heat exchangers, refrigeration units, separation equipment, pumps, and, most notably, gas compressors.
