I currently work as a data processor at HMP Wandsworth where I play a crucial role in managing and safeguarding sensitive information within the prison system.
My role entails collecting, organising and maintaining data related to inmates. Data such as personal details, health records, movements, prison employment, risk assessment data, and incident reports. I work to ensure that all data processing activities comply with data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, while also upholding data security from unauthorised access and breaches.
My role entails working with other departments to integrate data into a central database, ensuring a seamless flow of information, generating reports, and analysing data to support prison administration and decision making.
In my current role at HMP Wandsworth, I coordinate and deliver training to both internal and external staff and roll out bespoke training according to departmental need.
I am a university graduate, and I have also gained new skills in cyber security. I am Level 2 certified in “cyber security fundamentals”, and Level 3 “cyber security boot camp” at “The Skills Network” where I developed extensive skill set from working on virtual practice labs, whilst addressing real life DDOS, SQL injection, XSS, password policies, SIEM, and malware attacks on organisation’s websites. The list of all my hands-on skills can be found on my cv.
I also possess extensive knowledge, skills and experience in business analysis, having trained and worked with Digital Bananas Technology. All my previous job roles are detailed on my cv.
I have read your job description as a SOC analyst and I will be excited to take up the job role, especially as I am passionate about cybersecurity, and enjoy learning new things.
I believe in evolving and gaining new skill sets, especially as new technology are rolled out almost every day. I self-learned “N GRAMS”, a certain aspect of machine learning which is about teaching computers to understand the context of sentences. BI Grams and Tri Grams.
I enjoy learning, and the best part of my job is achieving objectives and tasks in timely manner.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
