I am a gap year aspiring dental student, looking for exposure to the dental field, so to gain a deeper insight to what dentists' daily work are like, reinforce my interest in dentistry, and to enrich my profile for university application. As a pre-dental student, I am an active listener, empathetic and able to build trust with patients. I am also flexible, a fast learner, and able to adapt to new environments and people, so I am confident that I can work well with colleagues as a team member.

Part time Bubble Tea Barista at Mooboo North Finchley (2025-07 – Present)

• Working as a part time bubble tea barista at Mooboo North Finchley
• Learnt to provide good customer services and to manage a small shop
• Learnt to cooperate with colleagues, especially during busy hours, to make sure customers don't wait too long for drinks

Teaching Assistant at Holmewood School (2025-06 – 2025-06)

• Worked as a teaching assistant in a class with students of year 4-6
• Assigned to sit next to one student to help with lesson tasks
• Learnt to communicate patiently and in simple words with children with learning difficulties
• Observed an occupational therapy session
• Talked to Speech and Language Therapists (SaLT) to know more about the professions
• Learnt more about neurodivergent disorders like ADHD and autism, and difficulties that children with these disorders would encounter in their daily lives

• Observed the work of specialised dentists like orthodontists, prosthodontists and periodontists, and oral surgeon
• Spoke to undergraduate and postgraduate dental students, and their professors, at King's College London to know more about the course

• Observation and admissions of flu vaccinations for patients at different ages
• Experiences of doing IgG food allergy test
• Made phone calls to ask reserved patients to come in
• Sent SMS messages to ask customers to take their medication
