I am a motivated, organised, punctual and smartly presented person with some prior work experience. I have high GCSE grades and I also hope to study abroad at some stage in the future. I am eager to improve skills in communication and teamwork.
I am keen to gain experience in the hospitality or industries as this would provide me with an insight into the workplace and give me general work experience. I bring enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn - qualities that I believe will make me a valuable addition to any team.
Work experience as a teaching assistant at St. Augustine's Primary School (2024-07-09 – 2024-07-11)
During this placement I helped teach Maths and English lessons from nursery to year 6. I organised classrooms and assisted the children in preparing for their school play. I supervised the children during their break and lunchtimes.
Work experience placement at The John Innes Centre (2022-04-10 – 2022-04-10)
During this experience I carried out supervised experiments, was led on a guided tour of the institute and learnt about health and safety in the workplace.
Volunteer at Yare Valley Meadow Makers (Conservation Group) (2023-01-01 – Present)
As a volunteer I picked invasive plant species from a wildflower meadow, planted wildflowers and took part in general meadow management tasks.
Work experience placement at The John Innes Centre (2025-06-01 – 2025-08-31)
During this work experience placement I assisted with the harvesting of tomatoes for a large scale clinical trial (it was the first trial of a precision engineered food in the UK). I also assisted with other lab experiments on the tomatoes. I really enjoyed meeting new people, attending seminars and the job satisfaction of contributing to world leading research.
