Christmas Sales Advisor
I am a 16 year old currently working on my A-levels at Gordano School, my subjects are History, Politics, Economics and core maths. My goal is to work in Primary school teaching, however at the moment i am interested in a Stable income to help save up for university. Previously, i have worked as a Christmas temp at Boots in Cribbs Causeway, a week work experience at National Friendly and a work experience day at Lloyds Bank called 'skillsfest'.
I am very organised and enthusiastic in what i do, i am experienced in retail as i worked at boots and have volunteered at Charity shops (such as mind) In my GCSES, i passed all of them with high Cs, Bs and As. currently i work as deputy charity leader in my student leadership team, this has allowed me to gain confidence and organisation skills.
Christmas Sales Advisor - Boots - Cribbs Causeway
(2025-10 - 2025-12)
In October 2025, i started as a Christmas temp at Boots in the mall, Cribbs Causeway. I worked on the tills, helping people with the self checkouts and restocking the shelves. My contract ended on the 27th December. I have used this opportunity to get used to the workplace and help me maintain skills of organisation of the stock, memorisation of the store layout and my customer service skills.
Work Experience - Helping with finance - National Friendly - Bristol
(2024-07 - 2024-07)
At school we do a work experience week in July 2024. Mine was at National friendly which is an insurance/finance firm in centre of Bristol. I did a week doing small tasks, organising files and filling out spread sheets. This gave me a greater understanding of what a work place is like and how to keep organised whilst being busy.
Volunteer - Mind Charity Shop
(2023-02 - 2024-06)
In Mind Charity Shop, I organised donations, price things out, check/restock the shelves ,and worked on the register. I counted the money at the end of the day, and clean the floors. this has forced me to develop skills in handling money and taking responsibilities within my work place.
Debate club and help in school - Gordano School
(2021-09)
I was apart of my House council in school from year 8 to year 10 and since Year 11, i joined Debate club allowing me to improve my confidence with people and speaking to them. I help out at all my school events outside of school hours. For example, Open Evenings where we convince pupils to come to our school and Careers Day where i helped organise stools for external companies in school .
This has encouraged me to go out of my comfort zone and do public speaking, communicate with others. i am also currently deputy charity leader in my sixth form's student leadership meaning i organise events (e.g rag week at Christmas which raises money for a chosen charity and activities per day), collect money for the less fortunate and create ideas for student involvement.
