I worked as a live-in Carer. My duties were to help assist my client on a morning using a ceiling hoist to get them started for the day. I would help with personal care such as showering. Preparing meals and giving medication on time, also planning fun activities on days out. My job role wasn't just taking care of my client but also treating their home as my home too.

I worked at a dessert shop. My job role consists of many duties such as opening up the shop and preparing everything so it's ready for customers as they enter the shop. In just 1 week of training I have learnt cooking, cleaning, decorating, using tills and serving food. I have learned to pick up pace and make sure food is prepared and given out on time. I know how to work under pressure and how to deal with difficult customers.

I worked at a nursing home during covid. My roles were delivering person centred care to residents, assisting with personal care, mobility, feeding and meeting individual needs. Monitoring residents wellbeing including recording weights/body mapping and reporting changes in conditions to nursing staff. I worked as part of a multidisciplinary team maintaining high standards of dignity, respect and infection control during the pandemic.
Clinical Dental Support Worker - Leeds Dental Hospital - Leeds

I am currently working for Leeds Teaching Hospital as a dental support worker within the sterile instrument stores. I am responsible for inspecting, cleaning and maintaining dental instruments in line with infection prevention. My role includes identifying and replacing damaged instruments, managing stock and ensuring equipment is available for clinical use.
I support several departments including restorative dentistry and paediatrics. I also work in the dispensary handing equipment to dental students, restocking student clinics and carrying out stock rotation and expiry date checks. In addition, I have gained experience supporting the paediatric team in theatres as a runner, setting up trollies, replenishing supplies and transporting x-rays.
