Having extensively travelled and learned about different cultures, traditions and sometimes painful histories, through having spent my secondary education overseas, as my parents were teachers abroad, I am taking a gap year in the UK and seeking employment to support my university ambitions from September 2027.
Maintenance at Glenalmond College (2026-03 – 2026-05)
I worked as a seasonal worker for the maintenance team in Glenalmond College. I had the opportunity to work across multiple departments such as estates, plumbing and carpentry where my versatility and eagerness to learn enabled me to deliver work to the highest standards. Additionally, it taught me to recognise the importance of time management in order to deliver projects on time, such as relocating the school's finance office.
This was a fixed term contract as I had to return to Qatar to complete my A levels.
