In August 2021 I joined DXC on a 4-month contract, to work on the remedial work required after an automatic conversion program had been run. Working with colleagues in India, Manilla and Cape Town to pick up problem records (tickets) recorded in JIRA, analyse & fix them, & send them back to the testing team for re-testing. I was then re-engaged for another 4 months performing the same role in the same team as previously.

In April 2015 I once again re-joined SSE on a 6-month contract, to work on the Customer Services Data Support team. This contract rolled over several times. The focus of this contract was working in a team set up to liaise with a large team of IBM Development contractors, who were all working here from India (mainly Pune and Mumbai), to resolve issues with the customer bills and annual statements.
The role was as a Lead Developer/Analyst, analysing the requirements for new projects or maintenance issues, and then discussing development plans and the coding requirements with the IBM staff.

On this contract I was working for AXA in Dublin, working on the implementation of the SEPA (Single European Payment Area) project. This was concerned with changing programs written in CA-IDEAL to deal with the new rules for banks and companies in the Single European Market to be allowed to deal across national borders in a new and simple way.

For this contract I was working for Trinity Expert Systems, an IT consultancy, but I was actually based at Guardian Financial Services offices in Lytham, working on providing the business with solutions to the new regulatory changes for Pensions and Life policies, that are imposed by the Government at the start of each financial year. These changes involved amendments to database, document templates, and rates used in pension and annuity illustrations.
