I have over 10 years experience as a health Worker, assisting adults, young people and children by rendering excellent medical care, personal care, organizing special therapeutic activities for those with learning disabilities and dementia. Also support people in their day-to-day needs, enhancing living skills, cleaning, meal preparation, recreational activities, setting goals etc. Also involved in supporting service users program activities which is a great benefits for the circulatory system.
I am compassionate, competent, courageous and committed in line with carrying out my duties as well as having good communication and interpersonal skills. I have been able to build strong and trustworthy relationship with all kind of service users.
As a carer I have delivered a wide varieties of care, from rendering medical care, general support, to personal care: bathing and grooming, laundry, feeding, housekeeping, companionship, ambulation, toileting and attending to any of their specific needs with empathy, respect, dignity, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met. I also rendered end of life care to my mom before she passed on 2020, providing her daily care and support such as monitoring her vital signs, medication administration, feeding, bathing, toileting, emotional sustainability, ambulation, catheter care and more. I get immense satisfaction from taking care of people, especially those who are vulnerable.
I ensure all tasks are completed as schedule with adequate compliance to service users care plan, organization policies, equality and diversity, safeguarding, residents dignity and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
As an experienced compassionate carer, my passion is to continue enabling people to live a meaningful life as part of a great life, also making a difference in their lives on daily basis and continuously inspiring them with moment of joy, happiness and sense of belonging within the communities in accordance with their individual needs and choices.
I love to communicate always with service users to ease any feelings of loneliness. Having an active listening and communication skills to enable me assess their needs and help them meet those needs. Ensuring undivided attention is vital in building rapport and trust. It also provides the service user with an opportunity to voice any concerns, also an essential part of any health treatment.
I am skillful, respectful, honest and encourage the right of independence with patience. Service users involvement is highly important and I ensure that service users have the right to receive services that encourage informed choices, foster well-being and independence and promote their capabilities. Support them in meeting every day to day needs by providing services free from any abuse, harm or exploitation, in a safe and comfortable environment manner.
Ensure they are receiving quality care and support with dignity and respect at all times. Make them feel safe, protect their human rights as an individual. Also give them the freedom as possible to do the things they desire – regardless of their disability or other needs.
Regularly involve the service users in decision making and seek their consent (permission) to care, treat and support them in a way they can understand.
Involve The service users loved ones also in making decisions about the care to ensure quality outcome as their stay in good health.
Ensure they get enough of their needs and regularly ask for views about the service received, their feedback consistently. Ensure the care, treatment and support are set out in a written care plan that describes what need to do to make sure the service users receive personalised centred care.
Finally, as a carer to continue work effectively with colleagues and others who may be involved in caring for the service users such as the external healthcare professionals, local council to deliver a personalized quality care and support services.
