I’m writing to you to express my interest in the position of sales associate. I wish to introduce myself for the role.

I am enrolling at UCFB Wembley this September and will be studying BA (hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism. I am currently looking for a part time role to allow me flexibility so I can focus on my studies as well as the opportunity to progress within the role in the future.

My most recent role, Fraud Analyst II for Metro Bank under TSYS Managed Services. This role was a supervisor role where I was a primary support for agents in their day-to-day responsibilities as well as their wellbeing and mental health. Before working at TSYS, I worked in 2 other retail-based jobs.

These were Superdry and House of Fraser. Here we would focus customer journey and making sure we provide excellent customer service to all customers that enter the shop. I also worked the buy and collect department where customers could order online and collect their orders in store.

Another task I would carry out regularly was point of sale transactions where we would complete transactions such as sales and returns. Sometimes customers were not satisfied and I would have to de-escalate the situation by handling complaints to benefit both he customer and the business. As well as this I was responsible for making sure the shop floor was well stocked, tidy and presentable to customers.

One of the main skills I have been able to develop in my previous roles is the ability to deal with difficult customers and challenging situations. I have dealt with many difficult customers and I have had a large amount of experience deescalating challenging situations.

I have worked in retail for over 2 years and I have worked in a call centre for just under 3 years with a year and a half of that being as a supervisor
