As an experienced Learning Support Assistant, I believe the competencies I have gained in communication, problem solving and mentoring are invaluable in the Mental Health and Education sectors. My studies in Criminology and Psychology, as well as beneficial experience working with young people; both in my roles as a Student Ambassador in University and working with SEND students at Iver Village Junior School, have been a driving factor in wanting to work and make a difference in young people's lives. My recent work history has also given me ground level strategies to manage challenging behaviour and problem solve in the given moment.
I see myself bringing these strategies and ideas to young, vulnerable individuals, in new and innovative ways; through self-management workshops, engaging at the core of problem areas. As an extroverted and personable communicator with a proven record of accomplishment in successful community outreach, my focus on building strong, interpersonal, and professional relationships has been an asset throughout my career.
