I worked in Westbury's chemist for my secondary school work experience to enhance my knowledge and skills in the healthcare sector. Throughout this work experience I was able to understand and carry out day to day pharmacist roles such as handing medicine to patients, assisting with prescriptions and handling admin work that was required to ensure patients documents were all up to date.

Shop Assistant - Abid superstores LTD

I worked as a shop assistant for my family-owned business at Abid superstores LTD. Whilst working here I was able to build on my communication skills and customer service; it was a great start to stepping into the customer service and retail sales field as I learnt to understand customer needs as well as sales targets. This role also came with a variety of admin work such as taxes, targets and stock budgets.
Work Experience - Union grove nursery
I have completed a 2-week work experience course whilst studying at college at a nursey. Here I was able to enhance my education and gain qualifications in childcare. This was insightful and I managed to pick up several skills from this experience. Such as safeguarding procedures, policies, patience, communication, care and much more. Working with children for the first time was a great leap into my further career paths and allowed me to step into higher fields or care.
Work Experience - Mind allies

I was given the opportunity to complete another work experience course during my studies at college where I was able to work for mind allies, a company for teenagers suffering with mental health. Such as anxiety and depression. This helped me to gain experience on teamwork, communication with vulnerable people and creating project ideas and presenting.
Back of House and Front of House Team Member, Trainer - Nando's UK - Putney, London
(2021-10 - 2024-09)
From October 2021 to September 2024, I started my first paid employment I started at Nando's Putney where I was cross trained and became a back of house and front of house team member, being employed to the Putney branch was an exciting experience as it is deeply connected to the head office right across from the restaurant which gave me the opportunity to work closely amongst different settings and places such as the head office of Nando's, the testing kitchen in Putney where food is tested and tasted before being placed on the menu and also hosting events for industries. I also became a trainer to new staff and was able to micromanage new staff and trainees on store policies and procedures. Later down the line I was able to use my skills gathered in Putney to move over to the Nando's branch in Brixton London.
This is where I was able to use my gained knowledge and skills to work in a busy environment and train new staff. I had the chance to also hold my own team meeting to ensure all staff felt comfortable and safe at work and to ensure all staff were fully trained to carry out different tasks to their best ability.
Nursey Practitioner - MTO nursey
I worked at MTO nursey as a nursey practitioner for 6 months whilst waiting for my university placement. Here I was able to be trained in first aid, childcare, safeguarding. This enabled me to carry out great practice whilst working across all rooms including baby room, toddler room and preschool.
I was also able to network and build meaningful connections with families and organizations that could help me in the future. Whilst working here I was able to take leadership in organizing meetings, ideas and presentations.
Support Worker - Mia care services

I worked as a support worker for Mia care services, a care company where we support families and children with SEND working here for this time period was curtail to my career path of becoming a social worker and I have been able to gain experience, knowledge and the right training to be working in this field
Volunteer - Family Lives - Westminster
I worked as a volunteer for family Lives charity for 5 and a half months as a part of my university training placement, this is an office-based job where I was able to use my admin skills and experience with Microsoft to carry out great practice. This job role involved 9-5 office hours where I would do a lot of admin work such as calendar schedules, note taking, emails, booking meeting and leading conferences. I was also able to support and help families across Westminster and a wide range of societal, environmental, financial issues.
I have been able to enhance my knowledge on important organizations and referrals for larger issues and work closely with them to ensure the best support is given to individuals. I have been able to lead TAF meetings, EHCP meeting and work closely with schools and multi agencies to ensure there is teamwork around a family.
