As an A-level student pursuing Media BTEC and Film Studies, I have developed a strong passion for the world of storytelling, visual communication, and creative expression. Through my academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, my skills have developed in multimedia production and teamwork, making me an enthusiastic and dedicated candidate eager to contribute my talents and grow within this dynamic industry.
I joined an agency as a supporting artist in film production. I have had the privilege of being a part of an exciting project that has allowed me to witness the magic of filmmaking firsthand. Through my role as a supporting artist, I have gained valuable on-set experience, learning from seasoned professionals, and observing the intricate workings of a film production.
This exposure has given me a deeper understanding of the collaborative nature of the industry, and I have had the opportunity to interact with various departments, from directing and cinematography to costume and set design. Additionally, being on set has taught me the importance of adaptability and quick thinking, as each day brings unique challenges and creative opportunities. My time as a supporting artist has fuelled my passion for film and further solidified my commitment to pursuing a career in media and film studies.
Iver Dry Cleaners is a family run business which started me off in the working world. From the age of 16 I worked here on weekends and during holidays. I started off with serving customers and assisting the staff in the day to day running of the business.
This later led to me managing other parts of the business, such as managing and ordering stock, arranging deliveries and the running of the machinery. I believe my experience from this job has been a great foundation to prepare me for roles in the future.

2-week work experience working on a Channel 4 production called Queenie. Shadowing the Director, First AD, Second AD, Sound operators and lastly the DOP in which I learnt the many different roles and responsibilities of what each Job consists of and the day to day running of a production team. Whilst shadowing the first AD, the responsibilities that he had were planning the filming schedule, working with the Director, Director of Photography and other heads of departments to ensure an efficient shoot.
In pre-production, they would break down the script, analysing it, for what will be needed in terms of cast, locations, equipment, and crew. Working and shadowing with the second AD was very different to the first; rather than working on set the 2nd AD would be working back at base generating call sheets, guiding movements of the cast, extras, and providing support to the first AD. Like the 1st AD, they provide critical assistance to the efficiency and productivity for the production.
When shadowing the Sound Operator I saw that their responsibilities were, selecting, positioning, adjusting and operating sound equipment, such as booms, and other microphones. Overall, the 2 weeks was a fabulous experience as I now have an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of film production.
In addition to the above, I have also attained GCSEs in English Language/Literature, Mathematics, Media Studies, and Drama.
At present, I have just completed my final year of A Level Film Studies and BTEC Double Award Media Studies
