Isobel Booker

My name is Isobel, I am a linguistics graduate with a passion for words! I have always loved the etymology of words, where they’ve come from and the meaning of them. One of my biggest inspirations is Susie Dent, and her same passion for words.

I strive to be my best self, whether that be putting in 110% effort when needed, making sure to be punctual in all situations, and taking risks when need be.

I have strong writing skills and analysis experience, during my years at university I had lots of assignments that involved writing, reading, editing and analysing and I loved every second of it. I believe these skills will help incredibly in this role.

I am a happy, confident person with lots of passions and a strong work ethic. I hope to find the perfect job, using my love for the English language, which I believe is this job.

Admittedly, I have not had many jobs as I have been so involved with full time education, however when I left university in July of 2023 I got a temporary position in a warehouse (Asmodee) handling board games, packaging them up and labelling them. Recently, in April of 2024 I got an office job as an administrator (RME services) to get myself on the career ladder using my degree and writing skills

I have an undergraduate Bachelors degree in English Language and Linguistics in which I achieved a 2:1 grade at the University of Portsmouth
