Having studied NCFE Gym Instructing and playing football at a semi-professional and professional level, I believe this shows I am a beneficial candidate for the role of Cover Supervisor and Sports Coach alongside the fact I am very passionate about sports in my spare time, following many teams/sports (Football, MMA, Basketball, Rugby, Boxing, Tennis, Athletics, etc), as well as podcasts discussing techniques and performance.
In terms of teaching, I am a valuable candidate for this role due to my experience teaching youth football, in youth clubs and as a cover supervisor in schools across Manchester & Oldham. I believe I have a unique approach to teaching in which I develop a personal yet professional relationship with the students, and become relatable to them having been a troubled student in my youth personally. I understand reasons why students misbehave, and understand how to resonate with them and help them to overcome struggles in their personal and academic life.
Further to this, it is a passion of mine to have an impact on the youth of today, and be a voice that can help them to follow the correct path. For me, teaching is the ultimate way to do this, and having worked at Droylsden Academy in recent weeks and plenty of other schools in the past, I believe I am a valuable asset to any faculty. I know I can bring my own approach to the school, as well as continuing with my own development in schools. I relate and admire the school’s values, the curriculum likewise, I would love to bring additions to the curriculum e.g., activities involving behavioural management for life after school, after school clubs etc. and embed myself further into the school’s culture and community.
