In my role, I receive afternoon shipments and scan all incoming stock into the system, ensuring everything is accurately recorded. I then locate and store items in the correct warehouse locations to keep the operation organised. I also pick orders using scanners, following order sheets carefully to maintain accuracy. Once picked, I prepare items for dispatch, working efficiently to make sure orders are completed quickly and correctly.

During my one-week college placement, I worked across both distribution and sales. I greeted customers, took their orders, and provided information on parts, pricing, and availability. I used the computer system to check stock levels, place orders, and record customer details accurately.

I also unloaded stock from lorries, logged items into the system, and stored them in the correct locations. In addition, I picked items from order lists and prepared them for dispatch, ensuring everything was handled efficiently and correctly.
