Jack Anderson

I have just finished studying Web Design and Development at Napier University. I have worked in various sectors including support, administration and customer service. For the last nine years I have worked in homeless support, where I assist residents in overcoming challenges and achieving their goals, this requires a lot of careful listening.

Every shift is different and a lot of problems come up that need to be dealt with sensibly and efficiently. I enjoy dynamic environments, enhancing team efficiency and having positive relationships. My finished webpages are on my website and I am currently working on a Python webpage and a Unity based Harry Potter game.

My hope is to have a professional placement from January 2025.

• Provide support to the homeless, facilitating goal-setting and problem-solving discussions.
• Talk to residents, promote positive outlooks and direct them towards necessary resources.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to address issues related to trauma, addiction, and life skills.

Administration Assistant at Chalmers Church, Edinburgh (2014-08 – 2015-08)

• Managed weekly service preparations, including order of service, Bibles, and refreshments.
• Coordinated multiple rotas.

Customer Consultant at Carphone Warehouse, Edinburgh (2011-08 – 2014-08)

• Assisted customers with technical issues, contracts, and insurance.
• Temporarily managed various stores in the absence of the manager.
• Trained others especially new starts.
