I'm 22 currently a manager for Wetherspoons. I am hardworking, dedicated to my profession and very willing to learn. I have experience in the construction and hospitality industry and am looking to pursue a career in trade specifically as an electrician.

Labourer at Sound Interiors (2020-01 – 2021-12)

From this job I gained team working skills as we would be working on site in a team of 4-6 each day. My tasks ranged from site preparation and clear up, manual handling, physical work, and the use of basic hand tools.

Manager at Wetherspoons (2021-12 – Present)

When I started off as a bar associate at 18 I outlined goals for myself to move up in the company and this required certain skills. As an associate working on the bar and also the floor with new people each shift led me to gain customer service skills and confidence. This set me up towards my first promotion as a team leader in 2022 where I took on more responsibilities such as delegating tasks and supporting the managers.

I spent 18 months in this role which allowed me to be prepared for the next step up. In 2024 I got the opportunity to join the management team as a shift leader. This has given me a strong set of transferable skills for example independence as many shifts I am the only manager on duty, leadership and taking initiative to assign roles within the team whilst also keeping a level of trust between me and my colleagues.

I have now currently been with the company for 4 years which shows loyalty and dedication for my career.
