Jack Collin

I am a hard working, determined university graduate who is always up for a good days work. Over the last few years, whilst earning my criminology degree from Northumbria

University, I have been thrown into challenge after challenge, coming out of each battle successful and ready for the next challenge to present itself. I always look forward to ensuring I am multiple steps ahead to ensure every decision I make is correct, and I won’t come to regret it later. When I am not working, usually I am out with friends or having a day with family, but if anyone from my workplace needs help I’m always a call away.

Teamwork is the key to successes, and I never leave the team in the dust. In October of

2024, I was nominated for the ‘Service Excellence’ award and placed in the top 5 of all applicants from the North East Hotels Association, further showing that I’m passionate about the job I’m given, and I know what is expected of me and more.

In the last year of my life I have been a Duty Manager as well as a Meetings & Events and Pub & Grill team leader. I have looked after weddings, Newcastle Match days in the pub, events and conferences of over 250 people and not forgetting the hotel it’s self. I always ensure that I give the best customer service and to remain professional as possible. In 2024 I was in the top 5 of nominees to win the service excellence award at the Northern Hotel Association awards.

I have worked with Village Hotels since March 2023. Before this, whilst at uni, I was a bartender.

I am a university graduate from Northumbria University. I graduated with a 2nd Class honours degree in Criminology. At Sixthform I also studied Law (C), Psychology (B), and Sociology (B) whilst also obtaining 9 GCSEs all ranging from 5-7 including Maths and English.
