Football Referee at English Football Association & Woodspring Junior League (2021-11 – 2024-05)

• I officiated football matches twice a week, ensuring fair play and safety for all players consistently
• This enabled me to develop strong communication skills by interacting with players, coaches, and spectators, in both positive situations, and situations where I had to enforce safety and safeguarding rules
• Managing conflict situations and applying rules consistently was crucial to maintain order during games
• I had to elevate my time management and leadership skills to an extremely high level, overseeing matches and ensuring they ran smoothly, in order to end matches with no complaints, leaving no reason for any spectators or coaches to feel like their result was unfair
• To achieve the qualifications needed to become a qualified referee, I went through many online courses that required attention to detail and perseverance, followed by in-person training that helped me develop my confidence greatly

• I worked part time in a retail environment in my home town, stacking shelves, organising displays, and checking stock
• I assisted customers to find the products they needed, whilst maintaining a friendly and positive attitude
• I significantly developed my cash handling ability through managing the till and occasional refunds, which required good attention to detail and focus
• I kept the store clean and well presented by cleaning the floors and shelves in free time
• In busier hours, when customers were more frequent, I had to work efficiently under time pressure to keep everyone satisfied and to ensure all customers were treated well and within good time

• I delivered exceptional customer service in a busy restaurant setting, working 5-11pm organising the front of house staff, managing orders and serving food promptly
• I managed customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive dining experience by staying positive myself and projecting that through my voice and body language during interactions with the public
• I also had the opportunity to lead a team to maintain smooth operations during busy shifts, and this developed my ability to manage specific areas and responsibilities of my workplace and trust that my colleagues could manage theirs, offering help where needed
